Judging Air Flow for Proper Deodorizer Installation
Take some toilet paper and hold it up against the door of the restroom, letting the toilet paper touch the floor. If the airflow is coming into the bathroom, then the toilet paper will move away from the door. Place the deodorizer near the door, so that the fragrance flows through the bathroom. If the airflow is going out, then the toilet paper will be drawn up against or under the door. In this case, place the deodorizer toward the back of the bathroom, but not near an exhaust fan.

Product Comparison
Gels

Most are mere cover-ups that do not eliminate odor. They put out strong, low quality fragrances that last only a few days and quickly fade.

Drip Systems Expensive, high maintenance systems, prone to vandalism. The liquid can run out before the end of the service period. Drips do nothing about airborne odors.
Aerosols Metered systems spray at timed intervals, providing only a short-lived effect. The sprays create wet fallout.
Liquids Messy and prone to spillage. The fragrances tend to be of low quality. VOC regulations have hindered the performance of many liquids on the market.
